I work as a Production Sound Mixer on Film and High End TV dramas and have been in the business for over 20 years. I have been fortunate enough to travel a lot with my work and enjoy a varied working lifestyle. I like to deliver the highest quality of sound recording and test the boundaries of excellence everyday. The challenge of everyday working on set is the difficult environments and making everything work there. Whether it be the mountains of Mongolia, the plains of Thailand, working within a community in Africa, each bespoke situation has the same amount of planning and attention to detail as the last, which brings satisfaction and an amazing experience.

Qatar National Day- Its a very busy time in Doha- the capital of Qatar.  Many films and documentaries get made for their national day. This one was about their Dow ships kept just outside of Doha.
Here I used the RF Venue LPDA/Dipole aerial for coverage and it worked a treat!

Falconry in Mongolia- I dont know if I really agree with this sport as its catching of the birds of prey. It was an amazing shoot though and Mongolia is well worth a visit!

I worked on the Sound Devices 788T 8 track mixer with Lectrosonics radio mics and Schoeps CMC6/41 interior mics and Sennheiser 416 for exteriors. I will always go abroad with a Senny 416 as these deal well with humidity, dirt and dust and are very resilient mics. They almost always keep working! I have worked a lot in the desert and hot places and I would say it is definitely a mic to have in your kit.
This was a great project for the British Council Zimbabwe in 2013. Take out a crew to Zimbabwe to teach their crews some tricks of the trade. Brilliant experience!
