Radio Frequencies in the Uk and Abroad-
If you need to know what to use in the UK speak to and get licences from JFMG for channel 38:
https://www.pmse.co.uk/.
If you want more information about what is going on with radio frequencies in the UK also check out the British radio group: http://www.beirg.co.uk/
If abroad and you are wondering what radios can be used in various countries you can get the information from various sites. Try the regulatory body for general information on stations to find out what they transmit at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_telecommunications_regulatory_bodies.
Sometimes this might not be all that helpful but there are sound recordists out there who can also help try IPS radio wiki: http://www.ips.org.uk/faq/index.php?title=Radio_Mics_Abroad
Here you can get links to specific radio frequency information in different regions and first hand experience from various sound recordists.
And try taking with you an RF explorer if you want to scan. Have fun.
