I work as a Production Sound Mixer on Film and High End TV dramas and have been in the business for over 20 years. I have been fortunate enough to travel a lot with my work and enjoy a varied working lifestyle. I like to deliver the highest quality of sound recording and test the boundaries of excellence everyday. The challenge of everyday working on set is the difficult environments and making everything work there. Whether it be the mountains of Mongolia, the plains of Thailand, working within a community in Africa, each bespoke situation has the same amount of planning and attention to detail as the last, which brings satisfaction and an amazing experience.

Travelling dangerous animals-DHL

How to get an rhino from Croatia to a reserve in Tanzania so that it can help promote more life in the reserve. Put it in a truck, then a plane, then another truck and travel it there in style.
Was a really interesting shoot learning about the life of a rhino and also how dangerous animals get moved around the world.
The logistics are nuts. But everyone and the rhino made it. Even if we did have a car crash on the way.
A mix of radio mics, boom mics, stereo mics for Tanzanian atmos.
Great shoot! #DHL #endangeredanimalswelfare #setlife

Invictus Games

Shooting Invictus games UK for the past few years. Each shoot has been more interesting than the next depending on whom we follow.
Rugby players, swimmers, tennis players there has always been a different way to shoot it.
Shooting on segway for track sections I was able to hide radio mics in helmets covering them from wind to get some track wheels and breaths.
Shooting with underwater cameras for swimmers I was able to use a combination of hyrdophones and boom mics for the sound underwater and out.
At the tennis we had a mix of Sony cameras, drones and pole cameras. I used a mix of stereo mics for atmos but I don't think it would have been used. Gun mic for long lense shots to get the hit of each ball and radio mics on the players.
To top it off we shot an interview with Prince Harry at Buckingham Palace. #invictusgames
